It is, Julie. I’m afraid it is. It’s the finger I use to type k, i, and n.
My new book will feature neither kin nor ink. I can only type those letters now because I’m on my phone. On my keyboard the mere sight of the letter k makes my eviscerated finger throb in trepidation.
Will I ever recover? I doubt it. I’ll just have to forge ahead with nine fingers, four vowels, and a mere 19 consonants

Today I realized that Nerdfighteria, to non internet-y type people, seems like a really strange cult. I was wearing my DFTBA shirt at the airport and this guy noticed and it was really awesome but it probably scared the shit out of my parents—like, we have a cryptic greeting, and a hand signal, and a bunch of weird references that nobody gets. My mom thought it was some sort of brotherhood or religious order. We even have holy texts.

I went into Waterstones, in Newcastle whilst killing time with the vague thought of putting a note in a John Green book. When I found them, however, at least three different people had been there before me! It completely made my day, and I added one of my own. Nerdfighters!
